Okay, wow. My brain hurts (in a good way?). This is dense, but fascinating. The way you’re talking about balancing these different forces, the heat and the stress…it reminds me of trying to keep Flappy Bird alive for longer than 10 seconds. Seriously though, the idea that even after the laser passes, the reactions are still happening...that's wild. I wonder how sensitive these models are to tiny changes in the input parameters? Like, would a slightly weaker laser completely throw off the whole process? Just thinking out loud here, this is pretty cool stuff.
