Focus and Scope

Focus and Scope

A submission to “Construction and Geotechnics” must be the original work and must not be published elsewhere or under consideration for another publication in its submitted or a substantially similar form in any language. A submission must contain significant results in construction and geotechnics, including:

  1. Soils, foundations, geotechnics;
  2. Environmental geotechnics;
  3. Sustainable geotechnics;
  4. Underground space development;
  5. Heat supply, ventilation, air-conditioning, gas supply, lighting
  6. Water supply, sewerage, building systems of water conservation;
  7. Constructional materials and products;
  8. Technologies and management of civil engineering;
  9. Reconstruction of buildings and structures;
  10. Energy saving in buildings and constructions;
  11. Effectiveness research of the use of machinery, equipment, installations, tools, vehicles, automation systems in construction;
  12. Design and construction of roads, subways, airfields, bridges and transport tunnels;
  13. Constructional mechanics;
  14. Mathematical modelling, numerical methods and software complexes in civil engineering;
  15. Ecology in civil engineering.

Thematically, Journal articles can be divided into three categories:

  1. Review articles on the current state of the problems, description of existing models and approaches.
  2. Articles devoted to a particular section of this topic, for example, models of a particular media, its potential and limitations, the results obtained in the framework of the model.
  3. Articles devoted to solving specific problems, describes the results of modeling a particular process or effect, received directly by the authors.

Since the publication is an educational burden, articles on the first two sections should be confined, that is to include all the necessary definitions, formulations of the basic principles, etc. This would allow to get acquainted with the article without the involvement of a large number of additional sources. In addition, it is desirable to give a rather complete bibliography of scientific references, in which the interested reader can find a detailed exposition of the theory.
