Abstract

On the basis of recurrent decision finite difference form of terms balance of power expenses and the terms of static and dynamic balance, examined within the framework of the selected elementary volumes, got by breaking up of area of plastic forming on its length, with the use of more correct forms of analytical definition of terms of external contact friction and condition of plasticity, the numeral mathematical models of local and integral adjectives of the deflected mode of metal at the hot rolling in relation to thin strips and bars got development in the finishing working train skelp and wide-strip rolling mill.

Modeling of Hydrodynamic Phenomena in Reactor for Titanium Sponge Production
Nechaev V.N., Tsaplin A.I.

Abstract

A significant magnesium quantity is used in the reduction device for titanium sponge production. As a result of heating, significant convective flows are obtained in the melt. Flows recording is necessary for the technological process description. Mathematical model of the reactor for magnesium-thermal reduction of titanium tetrachloride is provided with mechanism, which allows accounting liquid magnesium hydrodynamics. Results of numerical modeling of hydrodynamic phenomena in melted magnesium during the reduction reactor heating are shown in the work.

RESEARCH OF PROCESS ROLLING OF POWDER TIPES
Gribkov E.p., Danilyuk V.A.

Abstract

Mathematical modeling of the intense-deformed condition and behavior of firm particles of inclusion of the core is spent at a rolling of a powder tape; the probability of infringement of integrity of a metal cover for a case of introduction of idealized particles of the core in the form of a cone, a pyramid and a sphere is defined. From the practical point of view results of the automated designing of technological modes rolling allow to define without use of the developed mathematical apparatus all initial parameters of process for reception of the set standard size of a powder tape.

INTERRELATION OF COMPOSITION, STRUCTURE AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF REFRACTORY INTERSTITIAL PHASES. PART II. THE NATURE OF CHEMICAL AND ELECTROCHEMICAL ACTIVITY OF THE REFRACTORY INTERSTITIAL PHASES IN MINERAL ACIDS
Zhilyaev V.A.

Abstract

The interrelation of composition, structure and chemical properties cubic (type NaCl) of refractory interstitial phases (RIP) is investigated. On an example of carbides, nitrides and monoxides of the titanium are discussed the regularities of manifestation of chemical and electrochemical activity of RIP in mineral acids (HCl, H2SO4, and HNO3). It is shown that chemical activity of RIP in mineral acids correlates with degree of their metallicity, and electrochemical – with degree of their ionicity. Experimentally demonstrated a genetic link between the chemical activity TiC, TiN and TiO in concentrated mineral acids and chemical activity of titanium metal.

I-BAR STRENGTH COMPUTATION METHODOLOGY PERFECTION FOR TEACHING OF ENGINEERING DISCIPLINES
Holodnyak Y.S., Perig A.V., Matveev I.A.

Abstract

The equivalent stress distribution along the height of an I-bar cross-section has been studied. The zones of maximum equivalent stress in conjunction with the I-bar geometric parameters and power load at the section have been found. The conditions for maximum equivalent stresses have been specified to not exceed the allowable values. An improved method for the comprehensive assessment of I-bar strength against the normal, tangential and equivalent stresses has been proposed. This computational approach may be recommended to lecturers and students of technical universities as well as engineering specialists in the field of strength computations.

Rudakova O.A.

Abstract

The fatigue fracture surface indicates breakdown features and it is a photo of breakdown history. In this paper efficiency of fractal analysis method application for the quantitative description of fracture geometry is shown, the interrelation between fractal dimension of a fracture surface and quantitative parameters of a fatigue resistance is ascertained. The determined interrelation enables to analyze the fatigue breakdown sources of multilayer welds.
